Mi chiamo Raffaella Cavallari.
Dopo la maturità classica ho conseguito un diploma per un corso come fashion designer che mi ha dato le basi per iniziare il mio lavoro. A 24 anni in Umbria ho fatto da tramite tra le aziende produttrici e vari stilisti italiani nel settore maglieria.
Tornata a Roma ho iniziato il lavoro in proprio che da 30 anni porto avanti disegnando i capi che poi vengono realizzati come prototipi e, una volta pronti i campioni, vengono proposti (per la stagione successiva) a boutique e quindi mandati in produzione.
Lavoro con laboratori artigianali e semi industriali esclusivamente italiani. Ognuno di questi ha delle capacità e delle mansioni completamente diverse dall’altro, il mio compito è instradarli affinché il prodotto finito sia corrispondente al mio gusto, con vestibilità corretta e rifiniture di mio gradimento.
I materiali, dai filati ai tessuti, sono per lo più di aziende italiane, greche e tedesche e di ottima qualità.
Visiono i campionari dei materiali sei mesi prima di fare i disegni e una volta che ho stabilito i colori e i materiali procedo alla realizzazione della collezione. Da qualche anno avviene anche nella collezione del tango dove mantengo ferma l’impostazione di una immagine ben precisa e riconoscibile che si distingue da una collezione all’altra.
Il mio è un sapore per le cose semplici, eleganti, sobrie e raffinate, femminili ma non leziose, comode ma sofisticate allo stesso tempo. Utilizzo colori e abbinamenti cromatici in creazioni che, grazie ai materiali impiegati, non sgualciscono e sono facili da indossare.

My name is Raffaella Cavallari.
After the classical high school I obtained a diploma for a course as a fashion designer which gave me the basis to start my work. At the age of 24 in Umbria I acted as an intermediary between manufacturing companies and various Italian stylists in the knitwear sector.
Back in Rome I started my own work that I have been carrying on for 30 years by designing the garments that are first made as prototypes and, once ready, the samples are proposed (for the following season) to boutiques and then sent to production.
I work with exclusively Italian artisan and semi-industrial workshops. Each of these has skills and tasks that are completely different from the other, my job is to route them so that the finished product matches my taste, with the correct fit and finishes to my liking.
The materials (from yarns to fabrics) are mostly from Italian, Greek and German companies and of excellent quality.
I look at the material samples six months before making the drawings and once I have established the colors and materials I proceed with the creation of the collection. This also happens in the tango collection (which I started doing a few years ago); I keep firm the setting of a very precise and recognizable image that stands out from one collection to another.
Mine is a taste for simple, elegant, sober and refined things, feminine but not affected, comfortable but sophisticated at the same time. I use colors and chromatic combinations in creations that, thanks to the materials used, do not crease and are easy to wear.
